You Can't Find Decent People Because You Suck as a Person
I hear the following sob story on occasion: "There just aren’t any good men/women out there anymore." I'm surprised I haven’t sprained an eye muscle from rolling my eyes at that bullshit by now.
Look, there are 6.4 billion people on the planet. Of those 6.4 billion, 300 Million live in the good ol' U.S. of A. 36.5 million live in California and 4 million of those live in Los Angeles.
Out of 4 million prospective human beings you can’t find ONE DECENT ONE? GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!
At what point do you get the courage to just admit you can’t find a good person because you aren’t one yourself? Now I'll be the first to admit that the vast majority of people aren’t worth the pussies and dicks they sit on. BUT...that still leaves a hell of a lot of people to pick from out of 300 Million.
I have had no problem encountering intelligent people, kind people, or people with engaging personalities. Sure, most people I come across are complete wastes of molecules, atoms and carbon but I can still find plenty that don’t fit that mold. If you can’t, it's because YOU suck, not anybody else.
Consider this:
1. Rich people generally associate with Rich people (Warren Buffet and Bill gates)
2. Movie stars with movie stars (George Clooney and Brad Pitt)
3. Lawyers with lawyers (Johnnie Cochran and Christopher Darden [yes, they were friends])
4. Politicians with politicians (Bill Clinton with George Bush Sr.)
5. NBA ball players usually make friends with other NBA ball players (Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley)
6. Crack heads know other crack heads (Whitney and Bobby)
See where I'm going with this?
If you are hard pressed to encounter decent people the question is not, "Why aren’t there any decent people around?" The real question is, "Why do all the decent people spend 5 minutes with you and do a 40-yard dash in the other direction?”
